India is a federal republic with more than 1.1 billion inhabitants. It is located in southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. In the world of UNESCO are many sights: Caves (Ajanta, Ellora and Elephanta), National (Keoladeo, Sundarbans, Flowers valley, Nanda Devi), monumentengroepen (at Mahabalipuram, Khajuraho, Hampi and Pattadakal), churches, monasteries and temples (Goa , Chola temples, zonnetempel of Konarak and Mahabodi temple in Bodh Gaya), the fortress of Agra, the Taj Mahal, Manas wildlife park, the city of Fatehpur Sikri, the Buddhist monuments at Sanchi, the mountain railways, the station Bombai, the archaeological park Champaner - Pavagadh, the rocks of Bhimbetka in Dehli and the Red Fort complex, the Qutub Minar and its monuments and Humayun's tomb.
