A winter sport is a sport commonly played during winter. As a formal term, it refers to a sport played on snow or ice, but informally can refer to sports played in winter that could be played at any time of the year. The main winter sports are skiing and snowboarding, but may also include snow-blading, monoskiing, skwal and tobogganing.

North Korea is a state in north east Asia with about 23.5 million inhabitants. It borders on China, Russia and South Korea. The northern part of the Korean peninsula lies between two seas. There is also a city full of propaganda in honor of Kim Il Sung and his son Kim Jong Il. Places are the 170 meter high tower Juch, the triumph arc and the Ryugyong Hotel. The May 1 Stadium, the palace of culture and the cemetery of revolutionary martyrs. Furthermore, the large theater and the parks Morangborg and Taesongsan. Other major cities are industrial city of Chongjin, Hamhung, Hyesan, Kaesŏng, Sinuiju and the port cities Kimchaek, Nampho and Rajin. Furthermore, the old city Kaeson with the temples, pagodas, palaces and pavilions. Just outside this city is the burial of King Kongmin, guarded by statues of army soldiers and animals.
