Lebanon is a republic in the north of Israel. It is also enclosed by Syria and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a small country with 4 million inhabitants and is part of the Arab world. The landscape of Lebanon consists mainly of mountains. Between the Lebanon Mountains and the anti-Lebanon mountain range lies the fertile valley Bekai. The coastal strip is flat, but narrow. The city of Baalbek because of its Roman ruins and the Phoenician city of Byblos. Furthermore, the Qadisha valley with a forest of cedars of God (Horsh Arz el Rab).
