Tajikistan is a country in Asia with fewer than 7 million inhabitants. The republic borders Uzbekistan in the west, Kyrgyzstan in the north, China in the west and Afghanistan in the south. Tajikistan has two exclaves. The landscape is dominated by mountain ranges such as the Tian mountains and the Pamir mountains.
